About the School District
Kewaskum School District is one of the largest geographic districts in southeastern Wisconsin, encompassing nearly 155 square miles, much of which lies in the heart of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. The District is PK-12 serving approximately 1930 students in six school buildings. There are three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school and a career academy. The staff includes 9 administrators, 130 teachers, and 90 support staff.
The District is governed by a seven member elected Board of Education. It has a $19.7M dollar annual operating budget.
The Kewaskum School District boasts a strong instructional program. We attribute our success to dedicated staff and administrative collaboration focused on student achievement. We believe in providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum and a safe environment that promotes independence, responsibility, and organization in which students, parents, and district staffs work together for the success of all.
The Kewaskum School District community has always played an important role in the development of its schools. Parents actively participate through formal school organizations, such as the PTO and Booster Club, and also can be counted on to attend school events and activities, to volunteer, and to maintain close contact with teachers and school leaders.
