Making a Positive Difference: One thing we talk about in class is making a positive difference to make someone's life a little better--either by doing something nice, or something expected, or whatever we can to help. We are participating in a program from Scholastic Books called "Classrooms Care," in which Scholastic donates books to children in need. If our class reads a total of 220 books before December (10 books per child, which should be very do-able), Scholastic will combine our success with other classrooms around the country and donate 1 million books to students and schools around the country that can use them.
