ScheduleSixth grade Band meets three times a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. It is the first period of the day right after Advisement. The band students will be required to attend a group lesson once a week at a time that conflicts the least with their class schedules.

Expectations: The sixth grade band students are expected to report on time for class with their instruments and music. They will need to settle into their chairs with their equipment, ready to play, in a few minutes at the beginning of class and to put their things away in an organized fashion at the end of class. Their knowledge and skill should progress at a reasonable rate allowing for their various abilities. Home practice is expected. Because we are a musical team with all of us depending on each other, participation at scheduled concerts and performances through the year are mandatory. Students are expected to practice at least three times a week for 20-30 minutes at home.

Assessment: The students will be graded on class participation, lesson attendance, performance attendance and individual playing and written tests.
