8th Grade Health Overview

Eighth grade health at Kewaskum Middle School covers a variety of health related topics. We begin the year with our Too Good For Drugs Curriculum.

Too Good for Drugs is designed to reduce risk factors and enhance protective factors for K-8 students by building five essential life skills:

• goal setting
• decision making
• bonding with pro-social others
• identifying and managing emotions
• communicating effectively

Each curriculum includes role plays, games and other interactive learning techniques designed to maintain student interest. Each level builds on earlier grade levels which enables students to learn important skills sequentially.
