o       Encourage kids to live happy healthy lives.
o       Use research based data to formulate decisions.
o       Teach skills for future success.
o       Learn how to resist peer pressure.
o       Learn the consequences of alcohol and other drug use and abuse.
o       Role-play and practice resistance techniques.
o       Discuss the future and the importance of high school.
 
Human Growth and Development (3 class periods)
o       Learn facts about STIs/STDs and the benefits of practicing abstinence.
o       Discuss the physical and emotional consequences of oral sex.
o       Discuss the dynamics of dating including how to handle difficult situations and get along with others individually and in groups.
