Class Grading Policy

Grading Policy

 

50% Heart Rate Assessments

  • Students will wear heart rate monitors regularly.
  • Students will earn one point for each minute in the target zone, with a maximum of 20 points total.
  • Students will be assessed roughly 10 times each trimester.

 

30% Written Tests

  • Students will be expected to know the equipment, terminology, rules, and regulations for each sport they participate in.  A written test will be taken upon completion of each unit.
  • There will be four tests per trimester.

 

20% In-Class Work

  • On a regular basis throughout the year, we will be covering various wellness topics such as; nutrition, drug and alcohol prevention, human growth, safety, goals, integrity in sports, and many more.
  • There will be some writing assessments, group work, role plays, and worksheets for you to complete in class.

  • 87-89   B+
  • 83-86   B
  • 80-82   B-
  • 77-79  C+
  • 73-76  C
  • 70-72  C-
  • 67-69   D+
  • 63-66   D
  • 60-62   D-
