Rules and Regulations

 

Be a FRIEND to ALL:

  • Respect others and show good sportsmanship.
  • Cooperate and help others to excel.
  • Encourage each other to do your best.

 

Locks, lockers and baskets:

  • You are responsible for the lock and for remembering the combination; write the combination in your planner.
  • If your items are securely locked, no one else can steal them or tamper with them.  BE RESPONSIBLE!

 

Class Dress:

  • Athletic shoes, athletic socks, shirt, shorts, sweats.
  • Shorts must be long enough so that when arms are placed at the side, the student’s fingertips do not touch past their shorts.
  • No cut-off shorts or shirts without sleeves.
  • Students are expected to dress for class each day.
  • First offense….warning.  Second offense….infraction.

 

Excuses for missing class:

  • A student may be excused for one or two days with note signed by a parent.  This note must be presented before class.
  • A medical note is needed if the student is to be out of class for more than two consecutive classes. 
  • If a student fails to bring a note, they are expected to participate to the best of their ability. 

 

Miscellaneous rules:

  • No jewelry during class, with the exception of medical bracelets and post-type earrings.
  • No gum chewing.
  • When dressed for class; go into the gym and sit in your assigned seat.
  • First offense….warning.  Second offense….infraction.

 

Injuries

  • Report all injuries to the teacher no matter how minor they may seem to you.  It may be necessary for the teacher to fill out an accident form.

 

Heart Rate Monitors

  • Students will be required to wear heart rate monitors on a daily basis.  All the equipment will be made available to the student.  If you wish to purchase your own chest strap, they will be made available.
