B.E.E. Binders
"Bring Everything Everyday!"
The B.E.E. Binder is a three-ring notebook that your Kindergartener will use everyday to develop organizational skills and learn responsibility. This book is a way of maintaining effective communication between home and school. It aims to eliminate lost notes, newsletters, calendars, homework as well as keep parents and students informed of important events and academic progress. So if you want to know what the "buzz" is in Mrs. Hanschke’s Kindergarten class, check out your child's B.E.E. Binder!
Here's what you will find inside:
Important Notes/Money This pocket is to be used to send notes to the teacher that need immediate attention, such as carpool changes, doctor's appointments, urgent concerns, etc. Please check this section daily. From time to time, you may need to send money to school for book club orders, lunch, field trips, etc. Please use the pocket to send money to school.
Lunch Menu If your child is having hot lunch, please review the choices on a daily basis. Please leave these in the notebook so you can refer to them when needed.
Letter Formation Chart This chart demonstrates the proper formation of letters. Please refer to it when working with your child at home. Leave this in their B.E.E. Binder so it will be handy for a reference.
Number Grid This Grid will be helpful in learning about numbers.
Homework Homework will be sent home in the "Homework" pocket and completed homework should be returned to school in the same pocket. Please check this section daily.
Keep at Home This section contains schoolwork that may be kept and admired at home.
Parent Notes This section will contain newsletters from the classroom as well as from the office. This will also be where you will receive information about fieldtrips, book orders, Market Day and any new information. Please check this area daily and remove the letters so new ones can come home!
The B.E.E. Binder contains everything your child will need for school everyday. Encourage your child to become more independent by being responsible for putting his/her B.E.E. Binder in his/her backpack every night before going to bed. This will mean a calm and relaxed commute to school and a confident Kindergartener who will be prepared to start the day off right.
B.E.E. Binder Rules
- Please take very good care of your B.E.E. Binder. It will be used all year.
- Please do not make any marks or drawings in your B.E.E. Binder.
- Take your B.E.E. Binder home with you every day and bring it to school with you in the morning.
- After your homework is done, put it back in your backpack so you won’t forget it.
- Please do not eat or drink while using it.
Show your B.E.E. Binder to your family every day. They will be so proud that you are learning responsibility.
