The primary goal of Kewaskum band program is to create great music!
Music is an important part of the education of every well-rounded scholar. The skills gained through music education will carry over into all aspects of the student’s life; academic and otherwise. These skills will also provide a life-long appreciation for music and its role in the enrichment of the human spirit.
Core Learning Objectives
We will strive to become better musicians each day through studying individual skills such as tone production, rhythm, breathing, articulation, and musicality. We will also concentrate on developing ensemble skills such as balance, blend, intonation, and listening. Students will use all of these skills to perform in many settings such as Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz, Ensemble, Pep Band, as well as other small ensembles.
