Folk Tales

Students participate in Daily 5, a balanced approach to reading.  They will daily write, read to self, read to a partner, do word work, and build vocabulary and background information in listening centers.  Four our of five small reading groups meet with their teacher daily. 

 Students take "just right" books home to read each eve.
Four groups of students will read an on-level Folk Tale and learn the moral to the story.  We'll review the steps in story mapping along the way.
