Estar means "to be".

We use it when talking about locations of people and things.

We use it when talking about feelings.

Forms of estar:

Yo estoy (I am)

Tú estás (You informal are)

Él está (He is)

Ella está (She is)

Usted está (You formal are)

Nosotros(as) estamos (We are)

Ellos(as) están (They are)

Ustedes están (You guys are)

Examples:

1.  Yo estoy en la escuela.  (I am at school.)

2.  Ellos están al lado de las ventanas.  (They are next to the windows.)

3.  Nosotros estamos cansados.  (We are tired.)

4.  Tú estás bien.  (You informal are fine.)
