We raised a Monarch caterpillar using milkweed leaves and released the female butterfly. Then we fed a Tussack caterpillar boxelder leaves. It is still in its cocoon and will be all winter. It will hatch into a moth in spring.
The largest group ever worked from 4:00 to 6:00 pulling weeds, laying down landscape fabric, mulching, trimming back dead growith for winter, and trimming trees. We accomplished a lot and then enjoyed pizza and cookies for supper! Thanks to everyone for your help!
On Thursday, Oct. 20, all three fourth grades took a rainy day field trip to look at glacial features in the Kettle Moraine Forest and to Henschel's Indian Museum.
