  2. Class begins with approximately 20 minutes of large group instruction.
  3. Groups of students then rotate through three stations in twenty-minute blocks.
  4. The stations are small group instruction, silent reading, and a computer-based, individualized reading program that READ 180 was founded upon.
  5. Last few minutes of class are generally used for review.

*For the silent reading portion students are to pick a book from the Read 180 library unless they have read them, then they are able to pick a book from the library appropriate for their reading level and complete an independent reading portfolio.  It is expected that a student complete at least two books in a semester.  The books must be approved by instructor.

ATTENDANCE POLICY:

Students are expected to be to class on time.  On time constitutes in their seats as the bell is ringing.  Students are required to make-up homework when they are absent.  See student handbook for details.

LATE/MISSING ASSIGNMENTS:

Students will be given time according to their IEP to finish work if need be.  Normal assignment due dates rarely occur due to the students individual needs.
