The first couple weeks of Technology Education for 8th graders is all about balloons. Hot air balloons to be exact. We learn about the science of how hot air balloons fly, along with constructing our own balloons. Students have to work together in teams, learning about leadership, teamwork, attention to detail, and quality of construction. Working in groups of 4-5 students a 9' balloon is constructed.
