Dave & Carole's 14th Annual Miracle Marathon - KMS

I am running this fundraiser for the simple fact that our children matter. They are the most important asset to our well being and our future. Children deserve the best, and we have the benefit of having the best care in our backyard.

I had the privelege of coaching a young lady who was given 4 years to live because of a slow growing, in-operable brain tumor, she is now going on year 8 of her diagnosis, thanks to the help and care she has recieved at Children's Hospital. The power of a child is amazing! She has gone through chemotherapy, endless brainscans and brain surgeries and she continues to run. She runs because she loves it. She runs because her doctors have told her to never stop, she runs for the simple fact that she can. She's now in college and to this day is one of my biggest inspirations. The days when I am out for a run or training for my next bike race and I think I should just be done, I simply think of her and then move on and push that much harder. She hasn't ever given up, so how can I?

We need to maintain the quality care from the best doctors, nurses and support staff we could ask for, right here in our own state, for our kids...the ones we know, the ones we may know someday and the ones we will never know...otherwise we will never know what they could have done.
