*The understanding of music is a building process that continually grows, but relies on previous learning. Teach, review, reinforce and apply. Learning music is much like learning math or a foreign language and is extremely beneficial to our young learners. It has been proven that students who are successful in music have increased self-discipline, advanced creativity, independent thinking skills, increased language/verbal abilities and abstract thinking as well as score higher on standardized tests.
