English 11

In English 11, students will study the concepts of realism and naturalism.  Students will also study the Moderns/Jazz Age through the texts The Great Gatsby, Of Mice and Men, and A Separate Peace.  By reading A Raisin in the Sun, students will experience Harlem Renaissance/ African American literature.  Finally, students will be asked to write and expository and persuasive essay.
