Career Exploration

WISCareers:  Kewaskum students and their parents can use WISCareers at any time to research specific colleges, technical schools, careers, and majors of study. It also provides links to apprenticeship opportunities and employers in specific career fields. Students who have not used the site before will need to create a user account. When prompted, enter the registration code "khs-c076." If you have questions about setting up a user account, or general questions about WISCareers, contact your guidance counselor. Career Resource Room:
   Located in the Guidance Office, the Career Resource Room provides opportunities for students to utilize a variety of career exploration materials. There are books and tapes available about careers, as well as information about testing, post-secondary schools, financial aid and scholarships. Computers are available in the guidance office for additional information on these topics through Wisconsin Careers and the internet. Some particularly helpful internet sites are:

Career Visions is a computer software program providing information on careers, programs of study, post secondary education, and financial aid.  Students may use this program to learn more about specific occupations, universities and technical schools.  They will also have the opportunity to use decision-making occupational and educational exploration modules, to assist students in developing future career plans. This program is available in the guidance office, computer lab and library.
