Individual Planning Conferences at grade 11 provide parents the opportunity to discuss their child’s talents, abilities and interests in a positive atmosphere and to continue to develop a plan of study and post secondary goals. Individual Planning Conferences are not intended for discussions of student discipline issues.
Facilitated by the school counselor, grade 11 Individual Planning Conferences are scheduled during the school day from 7:30 AM until 3:00 PM. The length of the conference is typically 30- 45 minutes and includes both the parent(s) and the child.
Parents are a key member of the conference team. Individual Planning Conferences are specifically designed conferences for parents to gain insight into their child’s development and for students to gain insight into the direction they are headed in the future. Our task is to determine how we can help them create and achieve broadly based goals for their future.
Scheduling information will be sent home no later than the 3rd week of September. Grade 11 Individual Planning Conferences will be held from November 1st through December 17th.
