J.O. Reigle Scholarships

Regal Ware will be awarding 2 $18,000 scholarships to a KHS senior this year.  This is a highly competitive scholarship so please read the application instructions thoroughly. (Top 10% of the class, cumulative 3.8 GPA or higher, Summa Cum Laude status) 

Students are considered based on cumulative GPA, rigor of coursework, ACT score, community and school involvement, essay writing skills and reference forms.  Students will be notified if they are selected for a final interview.

 Partners of St. Joseph's Community Hospital

Eligibility:  3.75 GPA; pursuing a degree in a health-related field.

Minimum ACT score of 27

Two $7,500 scholarships wil be offered to seniors of Kewaskum, West Bend East, West Bend West, or Slinger High Schools who maintain a 3.75 grade point average during high school and who will be pursuing a degree in a health-related field.  The student must continue to pursue this major.  The initial grant of $1,250 per student per year will be renewable for four years upon presentation of acceptable grades at the end of each semester.  In the event of a large number of applicants, a preliminary screening will be done and interviews granted accordingly.  Family must be a Washinton County resident.

Partners of St. Joseph's Community Hospital Volunteen

Eligibility:  3.5 GPA; 100 volunteer hours at hospital; pursuing a medical field of study.

One $2,000 scholarship will be offered to a senior of Kewaskum, West Bend East, West Bend West, or Slinger High School who maintains a 3.5 grade point average during high school and who will be pursuing a medical field of study.  A teen volunteer must have 100 cumulative hours volunteering at St. Joseph['s Hospital and have been a Volunteen for a minimum of (2) consecutive years.  Students will be considered if they have a minimum 25 ACT score and a strong concentration within the math and science curriculums. Family must be a Washington County resident.

West Bend Children's Theatre, Inc.

Eligibility:  Interest & ability in the performing arts; letter of reference.

One $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to a Kewaskum High School senior who has shown an interest and ability in the performing arts (drama, music, dance, stage design, etc.).  An adequate grade point average is necessary for each payment. You must submit a letter of reference from the drama or music coach.

Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin (EFW) 2018-2019 Scholarships 
Since 1988, the Engineers Foundation of Wisconsin (EFW), has been dedicated to providing scholarships and support to outstanding high school and college students pursuing engineering as a professional career. Washington County Council American Legion Scholarship

Eligibility:  A Washington County high school senior who is the son, daughter or grandchild of a veteran of the United States Armed Forces (living or deceased).

Deadline:  Must be postmarked by February 28, 2019

Wisconsin Education Association Council (WEAC)                  

The deadline for applying for the four WEAC Scholarships is February 1 every year (it used to be February 20).

Scholarship winners will receive grants of $1,450 per year for four years of college or university study, if they remain eligible.

Only high school seniors are eligible to apply, and only if a parent qualifies in one of these membership categories: an active WEAC member, an active retired member, or a parent who died while holding a WEAC membership.

In addition, the student must rank in the top 25% of his or her class or have achieved a 3.0 cumulative grade point average (based on a non-weighted 4.0 scale) at the time of application, plan to pursue an education major or minor, and intend to teach in Wisconsin.  For more information and/or an application click on the link:  http://weac.org/member-benefits/weac-scholarships/


Hammett, Bellin & Oswald Law & Justice Scholarship

This Scholarship is open to all first year freshman who will be attending an accredited College or University during the 2018-2019 school year. Special consideration will be given to a student who is interested in pursuing a career in law and meets the requirements. $750.00 will be awarded to one student for use towards their school costs.

Requirements:

  • Applicant must be enrolled in and plan to attend a Wisconsin college/university during 2018-2019 school year.
  • Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.
  • Proof of enrollment to an accredited college/university.
  • Applicant must submit a copy of unofficial transcript.

Aurora Medica Center of Washington County

Scholarships totaling $10,000

Requirements: seniors pursuing a career in healthcare  

The Medical Staff of the Aurora Medical Center of Washington County is offering several scholarships totaling more than $12,000 to area high school students who are pursuing a career in healthcare. Historically, we have awarded at least 10 scholarships annually.

The application must be complete and returned to the Medical Staff Office at Aurora Medical Center by February 28, 2019Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.

Finalists will be notified and an interview with the scholarship committee will be scheduled.

Applications are now available online for the following scholarships:

J.O Reigle   2 - $18,000 scholarships for KHS seniors (Top 10% of the class, cumulative 3.8 GPA or higher, Summa Cum Laude status)  This is the largest and most most competitive scholarship offered in our local program.  It has it's own application and process.  Please submit all required forms or your application will not be considered.  Regal Ware will interview their final selections.

2 - $7,500 scholarships for seniors who reside in Washington County pursuing a career in human health care.

Eligibility:  Students must have a minimum 3.75 GPA and minimum ACT score of 27  

West Bend Children's Theatre, Inc.

1 - $1,000 scholarship for a KHS senior involved in music, drama, dance or stage design

Please submit a letter of recommendation from a music teacher or drama coach
