Reading helps us ask questions, explore, learn, and share. In working with staff and students in Kewaskum Community Schools, reading takes me on new journeys each day!
Through my years of teaching, I have taught grades 1,2,4,and 5, and have worked as a Title I teacher and Reading Specialist before coming to Kewaskum. This is my sixth year in the Kewaskum Community Schools. I received my undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Elementary Education and Math, from Creighton University in Omaha, NE, and I earned a Masters Degree in Reading/Language Arts from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. I am licensed as a Reading Specialist and Reading Teacher for grades PreK-12, and as a classroom teacher at the elementary level for grades 1-6.
I am lucky enough to work with many classrooms in our school! I work both collaboratively with teachers in supporting reading instruction, and also with the Title I program. I also work very closely with programming such as BEAR,BEAM and Battle of the Books. I can be reached by phone at Kewaskum Elementary between the hours of 7:45 AM and 3:45 PM at 262-626-8427 ext. 1218, or through email. If I am not available, please leave a message and I will return your call.
A little bit about me...
I'm originally from St. Louis, MO. I have lived in Wisconsin for the past 15 years, and my family has settled in West Bend. I have two boys, ages 9 and 13. We love the area and enjoy bike riding, baseball, soccer, camping and hiking!
