School districts across the country have received federal funds to help safely reopen schools and address the learning gaps from the impact of COVID-19 on students. The third economic stimulus package called the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act included an allocation of funds for school districts (ESSER III).

School districts can use these funds for a variety of purposes including:

  • Interventions to prevent learning loss,

  • School safety and preparedness,

  • Virtual instruction,

  • Outreach services for special populations,

  • Mental health services and supports, and

  • Educational technology

The Kewaskum School District would like to hear community members’ input on the use of ESSER III funds. If you would like to share how you believe these funds should be used, please fill out the second question on this survey
