Election

The Kewaskum School District is governed by a seven member Board of Education. Board members are elected by district residents to serve three year terms and work together to set district policy, approve budgets, and provide oversight of the school system. Elections for school board members are held on the first Tuesday of April each year on a rotating basis to ensure continuity in leadership.

Candidates must file a Campaign Finance Registration Statement and a Declaration of Candidacy no later than 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2026 at the Kewaskum School District Office, located at 1455 School Street, Kewaskum, WI 53040. Please note that the office will be closed from Wednesday, December 24, 2025, through Thursday, January 1, 2026.

2026 Spring Election Candidates

Board of Canvassers

The Board of Canvassers is responsible for conducting a formal review of election results. This involves examining the vote totals and either certifying them as official or, if needed, ordering and overseeing a recount.

The Board of Canvassers will include the School Board Clerk and two community members appointed by the Clerk prior to the election. If the Clerk is a candidate in the election, an alternative person will be appointed in their place.
