School districts across the country have received federal funds to help safely reopen schools and address the learning gaps from the impact of COVID-19 on students. The third economic stimulus package called the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act included an allocation of funds for school districts (ESSER III).
School districts can use these funds for a variety of purposes including:
-
Interventions to prevent learning loss,
-
School safety and preparedness,
-
Virtual instruction,
-
Outreach services for special populations,
-
Mental health services and supports, and
-
